When we meet again

It was a Saturday you told me being on the fricking ropes
When you shattered my small tub in trappy streams
Not a single moment I would've thought the end would be like this
Like a never-ending nightmare on the edge of losing me
You were calm, so settled, nearly weird, so eerie, bleak and mean
And I was drained and stunned, so overwhelmed by both you and my guise
Which held me back behind a curtain of deceit

It was grief I felt right when you owned up to unholy things
And to your deeds I wish I would have never known
I was far away from crying though the pain struck me a blow
But in the end I could not say it wasn't due
When you looked into my eyes and asked for something unforseen
When you asked me if we could be friends for good
I was disarrayed and haggardly I thought

Will the ashes of our lifetimes turn into a deeper black
Will we reach the kingdom of redemption or will we turn back
I ask will we ever normalize what's never been an ordinary life
So I ask what will be when we meet again?
What will be when we meet again?

It was later in the evening when you finalized the leave
Leaving back myself in both anger and moan
When we took our last farewell I could not say I wasn't sad
Eventhough I felt a sudden struck of relief
So we hugged each other gingerly in tempers of reluctance
Said good-bye in words of labored decency
And I was disarrayed and haggardly I thought

auch wenn mein english nciht ausreicht jedes wort zu verstehn, gefeallt mir dein gedicht sehr gut.

stimmung und gefuehle kommen super klar rueber, auch wenn ich das nicht selber in worten wieder geben koennt. respekt, ist wirklich gut!
